Empower Narrative is a print and outdoor media advertising campaign for Offset.It spotlights the wit and insights of 12 creative influencers that pen narratives inspired by Offset's images.The campaign exists in Surface Magazine, Archive, Creative Review and Print Magazine through 2014. In the lead up to the release of LCD Soundsystem's THE LONG GOODBYE, a 5-LP live recording of LCD Soundsystem's final concert at Madison Square Garden, Melee Media was tapped by Warner Bros Records to design and produce an interactive gallery exhibition featuring never before seen 35mm photographs and behind the scenes video of LCD created by Ruvan Wijesooriya over the past decade.
Major production elements included live performances by Odd Future’s Mellow Hype, a Sailor Jerry’s liquor sponsorship, projection mapping and a custom half pipe where some of New York’s most legendary skaters flaunted their skills.The event was supported by an aggressive guerrilla marketing campaign involving wild postings and projection media.Melee Media helped Shutterstock make a giant splash at SXSW by creating Austin Translation, a live photo documentary of SXSW projected in the heart of the festival.The exhibition was on view daily at Rough Trade, NYC from April 7th through May 7th, 2014.Read more Melee Media helped produce the Emoji Art and Design show, held at Eyebeam Art+Technology Center for 10 consecutive days.
The exhibit featured unique emoji-based artworks by 31 artists covering a range of mediums, from digital prints to interactive installations.
The event also featured the panel, "I Have No Words: Emoji And The New Visual Vernacular", moderated by Lindsey Weber, editor at New York Magazine's Vulture.
